A Gift From Tjena

A Gift From Tjena

A Gift From Tjena

When I lost my beloved soulmate dog, Tjena, to osteosarcoma last year she sent me a gift during her last breath of life. The day had come that I had been dreading for months when the pain medication and alternative medicine stopped working on Tjena. She expressed to me that she could no longer take the pain and it was time to help her transition. Our regular veterinarian that was supposed to come to the house to help Tjena transition was unavailable so we had to drive Tjena to the emergency veterinarian which was about 45 minutes away. It felt like what was the longest drive of my life! I could tell Tjena was in a lot of pain, very uncomfortable and panting the whole time on the drive there. When we finally arrived to the hospital the veterinarian and staff prepared Tjena for her final moments. We all said our last goodbyes and got in as many hugs and snuggles and kisses as we could. I was holding Tjena in my arms laying right next to her and telling her how much I loved her and what a great life we had together as the vet was giving her the last injection to make her heart stop. I know this is so sad to read and I cry as I write this but when Tjena took her last breath, she shared something with me so special and so profound I feel I have to share. In a matter of 1-2 seconds as I was holding her I felt this quick, sharp pain in my left shoulder (where her cancer was in her body) and heard her last heartbeat (BA-BOOM!!). It was so loud it was as if I was hearing it through speakers, although no one else heard it but me. And, she was gone…..just like that. I know this may sound crazy to you and it was! But I have never experienced anything like this before. Our love for each other was so immensely deep that we were this connected to each other. Don’t underestimate the relationship you have with your animals and cherish the moments you have with them.

In Service to the Animals

I am in service to the animals! I am volunteering my animal communication services to animal rescues and shelter organizations such as the Rogue Valley Humane Society and SHUG (sighthoundunderground.com), the rescue organization that I adopted my new boy, Majik from. He is a Podenco Campanero. I am also on animaltalk.net/ACCAW listed under ‘Volunteer Animal Communicator Service for Rescue and Shelter Organizations’. If you know of any animal rescues or shelter organizations that would benefit from animal communication volunteer services feel free to pass on my information: www.connectingwithanimals.com, carlabhara@connectingwithanimals.com. Here’s to understanding the animals on a deeper level to create more harmony between humans and animals.

Helping out an animal

colorful bird in flight

I saved a bird that ran into my window

A few days ago I was standing in the kitchen and heard a loud thunk on my window. I thought to myself, “oh no, please don’t be another bird that ran into the window and broke its neck!”. Sure enough I saw the little, helpless bird laying on it’s side completely paralyzed on the deck. I panicked thinking to myself, “how can I help this bird?”. Everyone that knows me well knows that I will do anything I can to help or save an injured or suffering animal including bugs. I remembered many years back while working in a wildlife rehabilitation center that we used to put a towel over an animal’s eyes and body to calm the animal. So, I grabbed a towel and slowly approached the helpless bird and gently knelt down to put a towel over the little bird’s body loosely making sure not to suffocate her. She looked up at me and blinked her eyes a few times not able to move as if she was saying, “please don’t hurt me”. It was so sad to see her lying there so helpless. I let her rest there for about 10 minutes and was hoping that she just needed time to recover from the hard hit against the window. When I went outside to check on the bird again 10 minutes later she was able to get up and move around out of the towel! She then flew away like she had never been injured. I was so happy I had tears in my eyes and was very grateful that I had this opportunity to help save this little being. It made my whole week!

Becoming an Animal Communicator

animal communication certificate

Animal Communication

Years ago when I heard about animal communication, I thought to myself, "you have to be special or be gifted to be able to have the skill and special talent to speak with animals."  Little did I know I was wrong.   After taking a few animal communication workshops over the years and then years later completing a year long Animal Communication Certification program through "The Sedona International School of Animal and Nature Communication" I then realized you don't  have to have super powers to learn this!  Through many years of learning and practicing and speaking with the animals, I've learned anyone could do this. It just takes having an open mind, a lot of practice and many experiences talking with the animals.  So, here I am offering my animal communication services to all of you.
